Kelly's Swim Meet

Kelly had her second swim meet for the summer season. (Her first one was in Cedar Rapids on May 10).  This was a mid-week triangular hosted by DASH.  The Cedar Falls, Davenport, and Dubuque club swim teams swam against each other.  Kelly did AMAZING!  She swam three individual events and two relays.  Since this was a triangular meet, it was mixed boys and girls.  (Normally she only swims against other 8 and under girls).  

Both races Kelly got 2nd place in....the same boy from Davenport beat her!

Here is how she did.....

25 Breast - 29.16 - 2nd place

(her best was 29.14 in Cedar Rapids in May)

25 Back - 25.16 - 2nd place

(her previous best was 26.82 so she dropped over a second!)

25 Fly - 30.87 - 4th place

(her previous best was 35.57 so she dropped 5 seconds!)

**Kelly's next (and final) swim meet for the summer season is July 19 - the 8 and under championship meet!  Each athlete gets to swim 5 individual events and up to two relays.  Should be a fun finish to her first full year of competitive swimming!**
