Kelly's 1st Recital

Kelly had her first tap and tumble gymnastics recital this afternoon. It was really cute! (I know I'm bias!) We did take some video footage....I'll try to figure out how to post the video soon.

Princess Day at Lynnie's

Today was Princess day at the babysitters house.....it wasn't planned.....but it sure made Kelly's day perfect! I had a million errands so Kelly and Molly went to Lynnie's house so I could get something accomplished. When I dropped the girls off, Lynn told me she only had the big girls today so she was having a princess day. The girls got all dressed up, she painted toes (Molly's too), put lip gloss on, and did everyone's hair (even Molly's)! Kelly, Sophia, Cambrie, and Claire had a great time!!! Kelly couldn't stop talking about it when she got home tonight. When I was making supper, she was talking to her Hello Kitty and Princess Bear telling them all about her day! Too cute!

Our deck.....

IS FINISHED!!!!!

We have been in full re-modeling mode (AGAIN) since the beginning of April. We can now mark the deck off the to-do list!!! YEAH! We are getting closer to the end....thank goodness! We still have a little left on the master bathroom, the solar project, painting the garage, putting floor outlets in the living room, staining our swingset, TONS of LANDSCAPING, and the big thing left.....re-roofing our house!!! But the good news....the deck is finished! We have been looking at a deck table and chairs set as we got money towards it for a Christmas present.

As you can see...we have to finish the landscaping....but the deck looks AMAZING!

Let's go fly a kite....

Today was REALLY WINDY outside.....so it was a perfect day to fly a kite! Kelly won a new Dora kite at a school fun night awhile ago and she has been wanting to fly it! She had a lot of fun...and it was easy to keep the kite flying with how windy it was outside!

Go Cubs Go!!!

Major League baseball season has begun.....which means a lot of cheering for the Cubs! Kelly knows almost the entire "Go Cubs Go" song (my daughter is after my heart)! Everytime she sees the Cubs on TV, she wants to go outside and play baseball! :) (after she sings the song)....well, she doesn't quite understand that...
1) the Cubs have to be playing at home in Chicago for that song to play and
2) they have to win!!!
Today was the third home game of the season....and it was there first loss at home! :( Don't worry, Kelly sang Go Cubs Go while we were outside playing baseball!!!!

Jumpin' Janes

Yesterday, the girls and I picked up my niece Helena for a fun day at Jumpin' Janes. Kelly has only been there once (her 3rd birthday) and has been wanting to go again for awhile. It's always fun with a friend...so we took Helena with us (they are only 6 weeks apart in age). The almost 4 year olds had a great time....and so did Molly!!!

Grandma Pat's birthday

Grandma Pat's birthday was Monday....the day after Easter....we celebrated by going out to Applebee's for dinner and coming back to our house for strawberry shortcake!

EASTER

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We had a relaxing day.....all at home! I think this is the first Easter we have stayed in Dyersville ALL DAY! The Easter Bunny came in the morning, we went to church in Dyersville, and we had 4 of the 6 grandparents and Uncle David over to our house for a nice day.

Our family on our deck...that isn't quite finished. We still need to put all the spindles and railings up. I can't wait until we finish the deck and get our deck table and chairs...I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time out on the deck this summer!

We had our own easter egg hunt for the girls....they both LOVED it!!! I couldn't believe how much Molly LOVED it.....she did amazing....and even walked on the grass!!!! (I guess she will walk on the grass if it's for Easter eggs filled with candy!)

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to an Easter Egg hunt at the park this morning. I stayed with Kelly in the big kid area while Brian took Molly to the two and under area. Both girls had a lot of fun! The little kids eggs were all on the tennis courts....perfect for Molly....since she doesn't like walking in the grass. The big kids eggs were all spread out all over the park.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Last night we colored easter eggs.....Kelly picked the glitter and painting set this year! The glitter worked well....the painting, not so much!
