Team KIDS.....they're not babies anymore!

Four years ago....my team started calling Kelly our "TEAM BABY!" Since then, Molly has joined the team baby list along with Willa (my assistant coaches Natalie's daughter). Willa is going to be a BIG SISTER soon....as Natalie is pregnant with her second child and due November 6......yes, the day of the state swim meet AND my birthday! We had our intra-city dual meet with Senior last night and all the team kids were there to cheer us on! It was a great meet....and it came down to the last relay.....we WON by 1 POINT.....Wahlert 92, Senior 91. Look how much these three girls have grown in a year!

Kelly (4 yrs. old), Molly (21 months), Willa (15 months)
Kelly looked so BIG AND TALL....so she kneeled down.....so Molly thought she should SIT!
So cute!
Molly LOVED Willa....and kept saying BABY! We know she LOVES babies.....but Willa isn't a baby anymore......Molly just thinks anyone younger than her is a baby to her! They were cute together!
Trying to get a picture of my two girls together.....Kelly was laughing at one of my swimmers!
GO EAGLES!
Kelly asked me to take a picture of her with Claire....she LOVES Claire!

Czipar's Apple Orchard

We went to Czipar's Apple Festival on Sunday with the girls! Grandma Peggy, Papa Michael, Grandma Pat, and Papa Tom all met us there too! The girls had a lot of fun playing games. The adults enjoyed sampling apples, and drinking warm apple cidar! It was a little cold when we got there....but it warmed up when the sun came out! It was a fun morning!

Both girls enjoyed the fish pond!

Best Friends!

Kelly and Sophia have been best friends for over two years now.....yep, over half their lives! The met at Lynnie's house (their babysitter) and got along right from the beginning. They are less than one month apart in age.....are both social butterflies....and have so much fun together! They are in the same preschool class at Xavier school. Sophia comes to our house every morning before school for 45 minutes....and then I take both girls to school at 8am together. They decided that they would wear their matching BEST FRIENDS shirts to school today!

Sophia and Kelly before school this morning in Kelly's room playing!
This was my first attempt to get a picture......it is adorable.....except Kelly's eyes are closed!

Miss Molly!!!!

Molly had her eye doctor re-check appointment yesterday morning. The dialated her eyes AGAIN and found out the she is far-sighted (she is taking after Brian's side again as Grandma Pat got glasses when she was 3 yrs. old because she is far-sighted). Molly had failed three tests at the doctors office so they referred us to an eye doctor. I took her to Fuerste Eye Clinic six months ago and they couldn't tell for sure and didn't want to dialate her eyes anymore at that visit.....so they scheduled this re-check six months later. Yesterday it showed that she is a +7 in her right eye and a +3 in her left eye. The doctor is concerned about the big variance, so I am taking her back in one month for one last re-check! I have some special ointment dialation gel that I will put in her eyes the night before her appointment and the morning of her appointment to make sure her eyes are really dialated good.....and then we'll see what the doctor says......it looks like Miss Molly will most likely be wearing glasses by her 2nd birthday! The doctor says if the variation in her eyes still looks the same....there is a chance she could get a lazy eye.....as she is seeing a different picture out of each of her eyes.....so it's important to dialate one more time before getting glasses.

On our way home......Molly fell asleep in the car with sunglasses on and her blanket over her head! Of course....it was a really sunny day!
Sleepy Molly.....getting her eyes checked is hard work!

Birthdays are so much fun!

Kelly has always LOVED birthdays....she loves going to parties, helping Grandmas and Papa's blow out candles, opening presents, etc. Molly is starting to enjoy birthday parties too! On Sunday, we celebrated Madison's 8th birthday and Myle's 2nd birthday with a party at the Herrig house. Both girls had a great time! Kelly really looks up to Madison and Ana....and they are so good playing together...even though Madison is 8 yrs., Ana is 6 yrs., and Kelly is 4 yrs. Molly actually had fun playing with Myles too.....they are only 3 months apart in age, but up until Sunday...they never really played together! It was a fun day for both girls!

Dragonboat

It's dragonboat weekend! My team did great today....we are in 2nd place in our division going into racing tomorrow. Kelly and Molly had fun watching the races this morning....and then we went to Grandma and Papa's house for lunch and naptime. Molly was still sleeping when it was time to head back to the river.....so she stayed with Grandma and Papa. Kelly LOVED all the attention she received from my swimmers when we got back....and she even got to play with a few of her cousins for awhile too!

My dragonboat team....22 girls
(I have 34 on my team....but 12 of them couldn't compete for different reasons)

Yesterday was Papa Tom's birthday......we celebrated by going to dinner at Applebee's and coming home to cupcakes! Kelly sang to Papa four times.....after school, at Applebee's, with everyone before cupcakes, and right before he left to go home! You have to love 4 year olds....they really LOVE BIRTHDAYS!

Swim practice

Today was the first day this season either of my girls went to swimming and diving practice with me. Kelly has been asking to go for awhile....and since she had a great second week of preschool....I thought today would be a good day (since she doesn't have school on Fridays). Kelly LOVES the water. She jumped right in......before any of my swimmers! She especially likes the beginning of practice when the team is in the diving well. Molly isn't so qucik to jump in......it took her about an hour to even sit in the overflow water on the pool deck. They both had fun though....and enjoyed all the attention from my team!

Jane, Kelly, and Claire
Kelly doing push outs with my team.....she did this on her own!

Kelly hung out in her tube while my team was swimming.....and jumped in the water a million times!
Kelly and Claire at the end of practice.....Claire gave Kelly this ball and she was excited about it!
After about an hour of clinging to me......Molly finally decided it was ok to sit in the water.
"This isn't so bad, Mom!"
