My **LUCKY** daughter!!!

My daughter is EXTREMELY lucky! For about the past six months, Grandma and Grandpa Snyder have been taking us to Perkins on Tuesday nights in Dubuque for KIDS NIGHT! Kelly and I ride into Dubuque with the grandparents and they drop me off at Brian's work and I take his car (so we save money on GAS) and run errands, etc. The four of us and Kelly then meet at Perkins for dinner. On average, we get there three out of the four Tuesdays of the month. We enjoy kids night for many reasons:
** a free kids meal and drink
** a free cookie that Kelly gets to decorate with frosting and sprinkles
** a free balloon
**AND they have a TV set up with cartoons for the kids to watch in the kids section of the restaurant.

Well, every week each kid on Tuesday nights gets to sign up for a free bike drawing once a month! YEP....Kelly sure won! She got her free, yes free, bike last night! (She got her picture taken and it will be up at Perkins for those of you who live in Dubuque). She got a 12 inch HUFFY girls bike! It is adorable....and did I mention FREE??? We sure have one lucky daughter!

Memorial Day Weekend

The Snyder Family had a productive holiday weekend. We got a lot of yard work done, planted a garden, and spent LOTS of time outside playing with Kelly. We grilled out twice.....and ate on the picinc table outside too! On Monday, Grandma and Grandpa Murray came to our house to girll out and play with Kelly. (AKA...wear her out!)

Playdate at the PARK

My friend Jen and I met at Eagle Point Park yesterday with our girls! We all had a lot of fun! We ate lunch, talked, and watched the kids play and have a good time. Kelly loved trying to keep up with Madison and Ana and they were always helping Kelly if she needed it too!

Visiting Great-Grandma

On Sunday afternoon, we took at trip to Anamosa (about 30 minutes from Dyersville) to visit Kelly's Great-Grandma Marjorie. Great-"Gram" has been in and out of the hospital a lot lately (she is 92 years old) and we hadn't seen her in awhile. Kelly loved the Cardinal bird that Marjorie had....it chirped!

Sesame Street LIVE - Elmo Makes Music

Sesame Street Live - Elmo Makes Music was a BIG HIT!!! I know my daughter loves Elmo and Zoe, but you never know how an almost 2 year old will be at a 1 1/2 hour show with an intermission! Kelly was amazing! She had so much fun! She was either clapping, singing, talking, dancing, or smiling pretty much the entire show. When she wasn't doing one of those things....she just looked absolutely MESMORIZED by the entire thing. During the 15 minute intermission, Kelly kept asking for Elmo and Zoe to come back!!! It was so adorable! During the finale, she was getting really tired, but she didn't stop watching! She waved and said good-bye about 50 times to all the characters. It was a great time and I would definately do it again!!!

Kelly's GETAWAY at Grandma & Grandpa's

For those of you who check the blog on a regular basis....I'm sorry! I realize that I have not added many posts lately. Due to my pregnancy, I just have no extra energy these days! I am 10 weeks along today (1/4 of the way there)!!! Brian and I are looking forward to our first ultrasound in two weeks!

Anyway, Kelly had her first GETAWAY from Mommy & Daddy the past few days. She went home to Cedar Rapids with Grandma and Grandpa Murray on Sunday night (Mother's Day) and spent all day Monday and Tuesday at "Gram" and "Papa's" house! I went to Cedar Rapids late on Tuesday night and spent the night and then Grandma, Mommy, and Kelly went to Sesame Street Live - Elmo makes music today! (More about that later!)

My mom realized that I really needed a little break!!! I haven't been feeling the greatest lately, and I am tired ALL THE TIME! Grandma and Grandpa decided to have Kelly play at their house for a few days......AND THEY PLAYED A LOT!!! (while Mommy was at home resting and catching up on things).

Kelly got to PAINT for the first time and spent lots of time outside too! She got to play with her new Nemo ball, and she even got to test her tricycle that she is getting for her birthday! On Tuesday morning, Kelly and Grandma made M&M cookies from scratch...Kelly's favorite! Kelly had a lot of fun and Mommy had a wonderful little break!

Before this trip....Kelly had only spent two nights away from Mommy and Daddy....one for our anniversary last June and one when I was really sick. Kelly really enjoys all the attention she gets when she is at any of her Grandma and Grandpa's houses!!!

(Yes, her hair is in her face....Grandma gave up on putting hair pretties in her hair)
