Weekend away followed by a funny dinner!

I was able to get a away for a couple days this weekend to scrapbook with my old college roommates, Molly and Sarah. It was a wonderful and TRULY RELAXING weekend. We met in the Quad Cities on Friday and came home Saturday night. Davenport is the central location for the three of us...Sarah in Chicago, Molly in Cedar Falls, and myself in Dyersville. We scraped from 10am-4pm on Friday and again from 6pm-midnight Friday night. We went back from 10am-6pm on Saturday....for a total of 20 HOURS! I got 19 pages completed in that time....it was so much fun!

I got home last night and Kelly was already asleep. I couldn't believe how much I missed her while I was gone. It was the first time I was away from her for this long!

So....here's to the funny dinner tonight. Brian and I were laughing SO hard, it was crazy. Kelly decided she wanted to eat off Daddy's plate. (That happens a lot that she wants something off one of our plates or Grandma or Grandpa's). BUT....tonight she took Daddy's plate and gave Daddy HER plate. She then took his fork and gave him the toddler Elmo fork and she proceeded to eat Brian's food! It was so funny!!! Here are the pictures...enjoy!

A welcome home for Daddy!

It was a busy day today for Kelly and Mommy! First, we had our library program in the morning, followed by lunch and a nap. It was such a beautiful day outside....so Kelly and I went outside to enjoy the weather. First, we went on a walk for about 45 minutes....then Kelly wasn't ready to go inside so Mommy got out sidewalk chalk and left a surprise message for Daddy for when he comes home from work. Kelly thought the sidewalk chalk was pretty fun!!! (Mommy helped a little bit with the message to Daddy!)

"This is so much FUN, Mommy!!!" Kelly hard at work!
Chalk is FUN!!!

A busy Easter Day!

Easter day was busy for the Snyder family. We started out by going to church at 8:30am in Dubuque. That was an experience! Since you have to get there so early (we were there at 8:10am) Kelly was ready to go by the end of the 1st reading. She was good before mass even started, listening to the music and clapping and saying YEAH after each song!!! At one point the entire church was laughing because Kelly kept doing the same thing after every song. That part was cute!!! Well, needless to say, Kelly and I spent the next 45 minutes in the back of church with lots of other mom's, dad's, and toddlers!!! Nothing would make her happy....coloring, books, not even M&M's in an Elmo egg!!!
After church we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Mulgrew's house. Uncle Sy hid a bunch of eggs and we started off with an Easter Egg hunt. We then had brunch with my dad's side of the family. It was time to head home around noon when Kelly was beyond tired for her to take a nap.
At 4pm all 6 grandparents came out to our house for late lunch/early dinner. It was a lot of fun BUT KELLY WAS CRAZY!!! She had more candy in one day then she has had her entire life. She was off the walls!!! She slept good though last night....suprisingly...but she is stil off the walls today!!!! I hope this candy wears off soon and this isn't the terrible 2's starting early!
Kelly ready for the easter egg hunt! Uncle Sy hid eggs for the kids!
Pink and Brown must be in!!! Isabella and Kelly matching!

Grandma Murray quilted Kelly this fun crayon purse. It has pockets for her crayons, coloring books, etc.....AND IT'S A PURSE TOO!
Kelly at the end of a long day....with her new pillowcase (Elmo & Zoe) and her new Ba-ba Elmo doll! (YES, she still sucks her thumb too!)

Easter EGG Hunt

Brian and I took Kelly to an Easter Egg Hunt in Dyersville today at Pamida. All of the outdoor egg hunts were cancelled this year (since we still have snow!) Pamida (like Shop-Ko but only smaller), had an egg hunt for ages 1-7 year olds. Kelly got 16 eggs!!!! She had so much fun! They only had 1-3 year olds go to the furniture department....which was really nice. Kelly had such an adorable smile when she found an egg! We hope everyone has a wonderful easter!
"I found one hiding on this chair!"
"I have to climb up on this BIG chair to get this egg!"
"Here's an egg on this table!"
"I found TWO eggs at once!"

Naked 21 month old!!!

Yep....here is my naked daughter!!! Kelly turned 21 months old on Monday, March 17....and for about the last month or so, she ALWAYS wants to undress herself and run around the house naked!!! Sometimes, it's just the pants and diaper, but today it was the shirt too! I was cleaning up the kitchen and came back into the living room (because Kelly was being extremely quiet) and found her laying on the couch, on Mommy's pillow, with her arms behind her head, covered up with her blanket....TOTALLY NAKED!!! I have one crazy daughter!!! Fortunally for me.....she hasn't had any accidents in the living room....YET! I have been working on the potty training piece, since she hates wearing a diaper, but no such luck yet. Keep your fingers crossed!

Decorating Easter Eggs

Yesterday was Easter Egg Dying day at the Snyder house. Brian and I actually dyed the eggs while Kelly took her afternoon nap....and then when she woke up, Kelly put all the Sesame Street stickers on the eggs. She was really serious while decorating the eggs. (Sometimes she took the stickers off, and then put them back on!) We all had fun! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

St. Pat's Parade

Brian, Kelly, Grandpa Snyder, and I walked up to the St. Patrick's Parade in Dyersville this afternoon. We had a lot of fun! It was a little chilly, but as long as you were in the sun, it wasn't too bad. Kelly made out....PROBABLY BECAUSE SHE IS SO CUTE (I'm not bias)!!! She got pockets full of candy, 3 necklaces (all different colors), and a Minnie Mouse toy too! She thought it was a lot of fun to see the tractors, puppies, floats, fire trucks, etc.
Kelly holding onto Grandpa and Daddy's hands while saying "ooooohhhhhh"!

SHE IS WEARING ALL HER FUN BEADS TOO!!!

Kelly visits the EASTER BUNNY!!!

Kelly got to visit the Easter Bunny today at the mall. She did REALLY GOOD!!! She went right up to him and waved and said hi!!! She wasn't quite sure when I set her on his lap, but she didn't cry! :) She has kind of a crazy smile!!!! She was so excited that she got to hold a glittery easter egg that she kind of has a smirk on her face! Of course I couldn't resist and had to buy a picture. I thought I would share it with all of you! It's wierd, but because Easter is so early this year (and it's still so cold outside)....Kelly is still wearing winter clothes while visiting the Easter Bunny! We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Brice's 3rd Birthday Party!!!

Today was Brice's 3rd Birthday Party! It was a fun time had by all the kids. The cars were out of the garage, the heat was on, and the kids had a great time driving and riding in 4-wheelers! We're in trouble with Kelly.....she is going to REALLY ENJOY roller coasters....and her Mommy and Daddy don't!!!! We might be in trouble!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Brice!!! (Cars theme)
Kelly and Jackson playing together....Jackson is 7 months older than Kelly but he lives in Kansas City so they don't get to see each other that often.

Mommy's TREASURES!

Kelly was in heaven when she woke up from her nap today....and she doesn't even know everything yet! My dad has been storing a bunch of my childhood stuff for a LONG TIME!!! Yesterday, I decided I wanted to get it down from the attic to see what I all had!!! So, my dad, Brian, and I got 19 Rubbermaid bins and a few other random things down from the attic. We took my dad's truck home and unloaded it today. I have only gotten through a couple bins, but I already found some things Kelly loves! Here she is playing with my oldtime Fisher Price Cash Register.....it's showing a little wear, but Kelly doesn't care! You may see more pictures in the coming days, as I go through and find more treasures!!!

Taking my PIGGY to the bank!

Brian and I took Kelly up to the bank this morning to put the money from her piggy in her savings account. The piggy was only half full, but it was getting really heavy for Kelly to carry around the house (WHICH SHE ALWAYS SEEMS TO DO......ASKING MOMMY AND DADDY FOR MONEY). She has hit up her Grandma and Grandpas a few times too! She had $15.00 that she added to her savings account! She loves collecting change to put in her pig to make it sing!!!
Not quite sure what to think....giving my piggy and my money away to this lady!
I got 3 wooden nickels.....I am collecting them to get a prize from the Kids Club!
(You get one wooden nickel for every $5.00 you put in your kids account)

Papa painted Kelly's fingernails!!!

Kelly and I went to Dubuque today because I had a lot of errands to run. Kelly stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Mulgrew's house so that I could get my errands done more quickly. "Papa Mike" painted Kelly & Isabella's fingernails.....Kelly thought it was pretty neat!!!! (Kelly got 9 fingernails painted.....Papa didn't do her right thumb, since she still sucks it).

Kelly watching Papa closely as he paints Isabella's nails.
Holding really still for Papa!
The finished product!!!! (SO PRETTY)

Kelly's been sick!

For those of you that check the blog on a regular basis, the reason why I haven't posted anything lately in because Kelly has been sick!!!! :( It started last Wednesday, after the library program and she is just getting back to herself over a week later! (She's still not eating very much though). We went to the doctor last Thursday and he said she had type B of the flu and a really bad cold. She still has a cough, but everything else is getting better. Having a sick kid is really hard (as most of you probably know)....but then I got sick on top of it, and that makes it even more challenging!!! I hope everyone in your families are HEALTHY!!!
