Christmas Day with the Snyder's

We spent Christmas Day at home....it was really relaxing and Kelly got to take her naps on her normal schedule. We weren't rushed eating or opening presents and that was nice for a change. We have one more family Christmas to go.....we get to spend Friday and Saturday at my mom's house in Cedar Rapids.
Kelly got a LeapFrog Fridge DJ from Uncle David!
Kelly putting the radio on the fridge. She played with it for awhile in the living room and then we told her that it went on the fridge. She then walked right to the kitchen and put it on the fridge. We knew she was smart....but she always amazes us!!!
"This is hard work to pull out of here!"
Laying on top of the bear....which is 4 foot tall!!!
Giving the bear a BIG BEAR HUG!
"This is one BIG wrapped box to open!"
"Wow...this kitchen looks really fun in the picture.....I can't wait until I wake up from my nap and get to play with it!"

Kelly and Uncle David checking each other out....Kelly really warmed up to David by the end of the day! They were playing and chasing each other down the hallway!
Our family on Christmas Day at our house!
Playing with my new kitchen!!! (Daddy was almost finished putting it together when I woke up from my nap!)
After Daddy finished putting my kitchen together.....Uncle David and Daddy had to try everything out! They were amazed that the kitchen knew when I put the different fruits and vegetables on the cutting board!
"This kitchen is pretty cool....it's interactive and talks to me!"
Kelly mixing something up in her kitchen!
Uncle David got an MP3 player....Kelly thought it was so cool when the headphones were in her ears. At first David and Brian were holding the earphones in (because they didn't fit in her ears). She was mesmerized and loved listening to the music...she didn't smile at first...she was just soaking it all in!
Kelly listening to Uncle David's MP3 player!
Kelly "riding" her bear....and wearing her Iowa Hawkeye outfit from Grandma and Grandpa! (Of course...her blanket is close by.....it's almost bedtime!)

SANTA CAME!!!

Santa made a visit to the Snyder house this morning! We all opened our Santa gifts in our PJ's....it was fun! Then the 3 of us made homemade banana pancakes! They were yummy! It was a perfect Christmas morning!
Kelly looking in her stocking!
A future Iowa Hawkeye Pink Nalgene Bottle was in my stocking!
Mmmmmm.....cookies to go with my kitchen! (Another stocking stuffer)
"I'm excited!!!" Kelly got the addition to her Little People Farm....she got the stable!

A Sunday with Daddy!

Brian and Kelly were playing a game on the computer this afternoon (since we were snowed in from the big storm). Brian was enjoying sharing his love of the computer with his daughter. They were playing Mr.Potato Head.....it was really cute to see both of their reactions!
Daddy and Daughter on the computer (the headphones said "nose, eyes, mouth, etc. "when you picked what to put on Mr.Potato Head.
The finished product....Mr.Potato Head!!!

Decorating SUGAR COOKIES!!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Mulgrew's house today to decorate sugar cookies. Grandma had already made them and the grandkids were going to frost and decorate them! They all had a lot of fun!!! Kelly only wanted to sprinkle the cookies once Mommy frosted them. Jackson was the cookie decorator and lasted the longest at the table. Seven of the grandkids were there for the fun (Isabella (6), Peyton (6), Logan (4), Brice (2 1/2), Jackson (2), Helena (1), and Kelly (1). Landon and Racquel were there too...but they are too little to decorate cookies!
You can NEVER have enough sprinkles!!!
"These sprinkles sure are fun!" (Notice the cookie in her left hand!)
Kelly frosting one cookie....that's the only one she did! (and then she ate that cookie too!)
All she wanted to do was sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle!
Isabella and Peyton decorating their sugar cookies!
Logan sampling some frosting!!! (Don't worry...we didn't use that spreader again!)
"What's wrong with this sprinkle container? Nothing is coming out!"
Kelly's out of sprinkles! (I then put a few from another container into "her" sprinkle container.)
Brice "sampling" a cookie he decorated!
Jackson peeking over the table at the tree cookies

Some of Kelly's "BEST" cookies! Notice the amount of sprinkles!!!
