Christmas Tradition

My Mom started a tradition with her grandkids 7 years ago......

My Mom and Michael have a Christmas Tree decorated at their house with all the animals that go along with "The Mitten Story".  Grandma Peggy reads the story to the grandkids and they take turns finding the animals on the tree.  Here is a look back at our Christmas tradition the last 7 years!

2007 - When my Mom lived in Hiawatha....here she is reading the story while Kelly goes to find one of the animals.
2008 - all four of her grandkids at the time
(Molly was only a few weeks old)
2009 - Reading to Kelly and Benjamin as Molly and Daniel were taking naps
 2010
2011 - Grandma and Papa by the Mitten tree with all 5 of their grandkids
2012 - The older 4 grandkids are very interested in the story (Matthew was napping)
2013 - Grandma reading to all 5 of her grandkids!

Christmas with Mulgrew's

We spent the day with my brother and his family at my Mom's house today.  It's always fun....yet very busy and hectic with all the kids.  We exchanged presents with the Mulgrew's and Grandma and Papa had stockings filled for all the kids.  We enjoyed A LOT of amazing food prepared by my Mom and even got a round of cards in while the older kids played in the snow and Matthew took a nap.

Family Movie!

We don't go to the movie theater as a family very often.....I believe today might be the third time?
Anyway, our family Christmas present to the girls was to take them to the movie "FROZEN" this afternoon.  Brian had the day off and we thought it would be a fun family day!
**IT WAS AMAZING!**
The girls didn't take their eyes off the screen....and the laughs and giggles from both of them were worth the price of 4 tickets!
