Molly's Spring Preschool Program

Molly had her first spring music program at school.  She said for weeks before the program that she wasn't going to sing...and that is was too scary on stage.  She SURPRISED us all when she sang most of the words to every song...and knew all the actions.  During the fish song....she was one of the loudest kids.  We were all happily surprised with how wonderful she did and were very proud of her!  It was fun going to see Molly for a change!
She sang the following songs...
**Welcome
**The Alphabet Twist
**The Whole World in His Hands
**Boom Chicka Boom
**The Butterfly Song
**Let's go Swimming
 **May There Always Be Sunshine

MN Trip - Matthew's 2nd Birthday

We spent the weekend in Minnesota to celebrate Matthew turning TWO!  The girls had fun playing with the Mulgrew cousins all weekend!
The older four cousins....waiting for the fire to be ready.  They all had PJ's on and were ready for bed after Smores!
Daniel (5.5), Molly (4), Kelly (6.5), Ben (7.5)
Uncle Brian started a fire on Friday night...and the kids had a great time roasting marshmallows for SMORES!  Matthew was sitting next to Brian....legs were crossed the same.  Too cute!
Daniel's Marshmallows caught on fire....I just love Brian and Matthew in the background of this picture!  Matthew moved from bench to Brian's lap. :)
 Kelly's turn!
 Molly's turn!

Kelly loving every bit of the smore!
St. Francis re-schedule there Easter Egg Hunt because at Easter they still had A LOT of snow on the ground!  The girls LOVED hunting for Easter Eggs again!  There were not as many kids as normal....so they got A LOT of eggs with candy and prizes!
Molly was in the 3-4 age group
She did great picking up eggs as they didn't let parents in the fenced area....only the helpers of the event.  She was hesitant at first (as none of her cousins were with her) but she warmed up quickly!
The three oldest were in the 5-6-7 age group together.  Look at all the EGGS they picked up!!!

Molly LOVES this train table....every time we are in MN, she finds time to play with it!!!

Uncle Brian drew an elephant (for pin the trunk on the elephant) and a monkey for (put the banana in the monkey's hand).  The kids each drew there own trunks and bananas.

1st grade field trip

Kelly's first grade class took a field trip to Waterloo to visit the Phelps Youth Art Pavilion.  I was unable to attend this field trip....but it sounds like Kelly (and all the first graders) had a great time!!!  Kelly REALLY wants to go back with our family......as she brought home a $1 off admission per person coupon (for up to 8 people).  It was the longest Kelly ever rode a school bus....as the longest field trip they have been on in the past was to Dubuque.

All 34 Xavier first graders
(Kelly is in second row on far right side at the end)

Girl Scouts Bowling/Pizza Party

Kelly earned a special girl scout party for selling over 150 boxes of cookies!  There were 37 girls in Dyersville that earned the bowling/pizza party!  The Kindergarten-third graders bowled for an hour....then everyone met up for Happy Joe's pizza, Dairy Queen ice cream cake, and door prizes....then the 4th graders and older bowled after the pizza party.  It was a lot of fun for all the girls that sold a lot of cookies!!!
Kelly LOVED her bowling cookie reward party!
