Trick or Treating is TIRING!!!

We went Trick or Treating in Dubuque tonight....two days in a row is hard work for a one year old! Kelly was one TIRED CHICKEN! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Mulgrew's house, Nancy and Gary's, Steve and Cathy's, Marcella's, and Pat and Darlene's houses! Since we went around our block last night, we just drove around tonight to family and friends houses. We started late because I had swim practice until 6:00pm. We had fun though!

Trick or Treating in Dyersville

We went trick or treating in Dyersville tonight....Kelly had a lot of fun! (Brian and I did too). She was running up and down the street and she loved looking at all the other kids too. She kept her costume on the entire time....and she looked adorable! (I know, I'm probably a little bias) She got some really neat stuff too.....I was really surprised. She got a Halloween sports bottle, a box of Hi-C Haloween Fruit Punch, a book, pretzels, animal crackers, microwave popcorn, and of course lots of candy too! Since Dyersville trick or treat was on 10/30, she gets to wear her costume again and go trick or treating in Dubuque tomorrow night. Fun, fun, fun!!!
Running down our driveway....Kelly was excited for her first trick or treat experience!
Knocking on a door -- Kelly said "Boo" because she can't say trick or treat!
Kelly at a house on our block...she didn't let her treat bag go...even when it got heavy!

Kelly and Brian carving PUMPKINS!

Kelly had her first experience carving pumpkins last night with Daddy. She loved it! She got nice and dirty....just how daddy likes it! (Mommy just took pictures) It was fun to watch her expressions when she was digging for pumpkin guts! Enjoy the pictures!

I'm an AUNT again......TWICE!!!

Hello everyone....I just thought I would share my FUN news with all of you! In the past couple days, I have become an aunt again.....TWICE!

My brother Brian and his wife Katie in Minnesota had a baby boy on Wednesday, Oct.24 at 3:44pm. His name is Daniel Ray Mulgrew and he was 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 21 inches long. He joins brother Benjamin who just turned two on Oct.18!!! I look forward to going up to see everyone in Minnesota the weekend of 11/9-11.

My sister Tami and her husband Eric had a baby girl today (Friday, Oct.26 at 11:58am. Her name is Racquel Fern (they haven't picked a middle name yet). She was 5 pounds 8 ounces...she was born 3 weeks early. She is doing well but is on oxygen, saline drip, and has an IV. She joins sisters Peyton (6 years old on 11/2) and Helena who is one.

I'm excited about our new additions to our family!!!

A day on the river!

Everyone in our boat

Our family....Brian, Kelly, and I

It was a beautiful day today......70's.....so we decided to take our boat out on the river one last time before we put it in storage for the winter. Our boat has been a fun toy for us this summer. We have gotten a lot of our family and friends out with us this summer. We took a ride to Bellevue to look at the leaves and stopped to eat at Spruce Harbor restarant. It was a nice day!

Mommy's sweatshirt is fun!

Kelly was helping me get ready to go to my swim meet yesterday morning....she thought it would be fun to try to put my swimming coach sweatshirt on!!! (Daddy ended up helping her)...she ran around the house like this!!!

"I can do it myself, mommy!"

Kelly pointed to a banana on the kitchen counter this morning, so I got one ready for her. I tried to give her a bite but she just pushed the banana away. I then broke a piece off of the banana and she didn't want that either! I then sat the banana back on the counter and she was NOT HAPPY about that either. She pointed back to the banana....Brian and I then realized that she was trying to say "I can do it myself, mommy!" We gave her the banana and she ate the WHOLE THING!!! Enjoy the pictures....she sure was getting a mouth full! She likes her bananas!

My little "dipper"

Kelly loves to "dip" everything she eats these days......her favorite is dipping chicken nuggets in our fat free ranch dressing. She absolutely LOVES IT! She giggles when she dips it on her fork and then eats it!

Baskets are FUN!!!

Kelly enjoys emptying all the baskets in her room! She has books, toys, and stuffed animals in her baskets...she likes to pull everything out and climb in the baskets. It's her own little chair. I think we need to get her a comfy chair for her room so that she doesn't have to sit in her baskets to read and play with toys. She is so much fun these days!
