Swim practice with Mommy!

Kelly came to swim practice with Mommy today. She had a blast! She was in the water for one hour and 50 minutes!!! I got her out the last 1o minutes to start drying off. She didn't take any breaks.....not even for a drink of Mommy Juice! She is on her way to being a swimmer! Anyway, she had a great time.....but it was A LOT of work for Mommy!

(Emily is injured and was in the diving well only today.)
Baby Willa was at the pool today too! (Natalie, my assistant coaches daughter) She sleeps most of the time at the pool. She just turned 3 months old!

Building our deck!!!!

Our deck got started this week! YEAH! I am so excited to have a table and chairs....and our grill....out on our deck! It is going to be wonderful! We can watch the kids play on the swingset and just hang out.....granted, none of this is going to happen until our re-modeling project is finished! Anyway....today, as I'm typing....is day 3 of working on the deck! It's coming along well. More pictures to come.....as the deck gets finished.

More joices are in now......Dad and Tom.....Day 2

Kelly's haircut

I have been wanting to get Kelly's haircut for over 6 months now! She got TONS of snarles and it was looking really straggily too! Everytime I brought it up she said, "no, no, no....I don't want my hair cut!" Yesterday, I finally decided to bribe her! We went to Wal-Mart to get some groceries and I let her pick out a NEW puzzle! She LOVES puzzles! I told her if she would get her hair cut....then she would get the new puzzle she picked out. It worked! We only got the straggilies trimmed and evened out....which is what I wanted all the time. I think Kelly was having a hard time because her best friend Sophia got her hair cut....really short....and Kelly didn't want hers short. Hopefully, she will be ok with getting her haircut sooner next time! :)

Kelly "before"....if you look at her face in the mirror...she looks scared!
Teresa cutting Kelly's hair. (Teresa has cut my hair my entire life!)
Kelly "after"....as you can see....she didn't get much cut off!

Butt in the air....

I always LOVED when I found Kelly sleeping with her butt in the air.....and now I find Molly like that all the time too! SO CUTE!

Kelly, Kelly, Kelly......

Lately, Kelly has either LOVED her sister TOO much......or she hasn't wanted anything to do with Molly. It all depends on the minute.....literally! This morning Kelly wanted to feed Molly a bottle.....that lasted two minutes and then I finished. Molly was playing on the floor a couple minutes later and Kelly didn't want to share ANYTHING! Molly crawled to multiple toys and Kelly didn't want her to have any of them. A few minutes after that.....Kelly wanted Molly to play Little People with her.......I can't keep up!!!

One of Kelly's LOVING her sister moments!

Daddy's company picnic

Yesterday we had Brian's company picnic at Eagle Point Park. It is the first one we were able to attend since we have had kids. Summers are always so busy....one year it was Kelly's birthday party, the next year we were on our WI family vacation, etc. We had a good time....and everything was provided by Tri-Tech too.

Noah's Ark

Yesterday, I took my swimming and diving team to Noah's Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Since Kelly is a BIG GIRL, she got to come with Mommy and her swimmers! She had a great time....and my team did too! The weather was perfect! We met throughout the day and did some team activities.....treading water in the wave pool, riding on the log ride (we filled the entire boat), and saw the Spongebob 4D movie. Kelly enjoyed everything. She wasn't tall enough to go on some of the waterslides.....but we went on 8 of them! Plus, she got to play at all the kiddie areas too! Here are a few pictures....you be the judge if she had a great time!

(I had 7 girls that were unable to go.....here are 20 of them!)
Kelly riding one of the waterslides. Her expression was like this on EVERY waterslide. Here she is with Emily Domeyer and Claire Wareham. This was a the Congo Bongo ride....where 5 people could be in a tube together.

Kelly riding the kiddie bumper boats....all by herself!
Emily Schroeder and Kelly waiting for our turn to see the Spongebob 4D movie. Throughout the movie we got sprayed with water, had bubbles floating in the air, and smelled crazy scents...like pickels! Oh, and Spongebob jumped out at us too!

Swim Team Party

After my swim clinic this morning, we had a team party at one of my divers houses (she lives on the river!) They have a low and a high dive off there dock. Kelly jumped off the low diving board about 6 times and loved it!!! She is going to grow up a river rat.....just like her mommy!

Kelly on the diving board!
Kelly walking slowly to the end of the diving board the first time. One of my swimmers (Claire) was ready to catch her....after she jumped and went under water!
....there she goes!

Molly had fun at the party too.....she enjoyed all the activity!!!

Molly - 8 months

Molly is 8 months olds today......she wasn't into smiling for the camera.....I think her teeth are still bothering her! She liked playing with the bow on her lamb though!

Kelly didn't want to be left out with picture taking tonight....she comes up to me and says in a totally serious voice: "Mommy, take a picture of me and my blanket. I will smile!"

Teething is HARD WORK!

Molly has been EXTREMELY fussy all week! I originally thought that it had been due to a long 10 days....without any "set crib" naps during our family reunion weekend. It didn't get better as the week went on.....and then FINALLY this afternoon she had her two TOP TEETH push through. Nothing like getting two teeth at a time!!!

Teething is HARD WORK!
"Mommy....I love these COLD teething rings!!!"

Where's Kelly???

On Monday....after our crazy 10 days.....this is how I found Kelly.....asleep on the couch totally covered up with her "magic blanket!" ....and I just left for a couple minutes to change Molly's dirty diaper!

Mulgrew family reunion

The Mulgrew family reunion started the day we traveled home from our Wisconsin vacation. We got back to Dubuque around 3pm and met up with my entire Dad's side of the family....about 75 people! We hung out at the hotel and went swimming on Friday night. We had a full day of fun on Saturday, at Eagle Point Park, the Spirit of Dubuque boatride, and back to the hotel for more swimming. We got together Sunday too, and ended with a trip to the Dubuque County Fair. It was a VERY BUSY 10 DAYS! Both girls were overtired and out of any routine we had set. We have spent this past week at home....trying to catch up!
Our family on the Spirit of Dubuque......neither of the girls wanted to look at the camera....they both wanted to watch the water!
My brother Brian and his family....Katie, Benjamin, and Daniel
"Titanic Kelly!" She loved being in the front of the boat and looking out at the water!
