Kelly was nominated to attend UD for Kids this year....the first year she was eligible as you have to complete first grade. It is a talented and gifted program for kids in the tri-state area. You must be nominated by a teacher to sign up for the camp and you pick two classes to attend for the week. It was one week long, from 12:30-4:00pm each day. This past week was for those kids who just finished 1st and 2nd grade.

UD for Kids is even more special because Papa Tom teaches there....and has for many years! Kelly wasn't in Papa's solar class, but she received the royal treatment.....being the grand-daughter of a staff member! A BIG THANKS to Grandma Pat and Papa Tom for taking Kelly into Dubuque and picking her up each day....as Kelly wouldn't have been able to attend otherwise....since I work at Loras Sports Camp during those times. Kelly had a wonderful experience.....and found out that once you are a UD kid....you're ALWAYS A UD KID!
(Although she believes that she is able to go for free...now that she's a UD Kid!)
She had a wonderful week.....and is really excited to hopefully go back next year!

On Friday, her mini-musical class of 13 girls performed for those who could attend. It was ADORABLE....and Kelly knew all the words to the songs! The theme was "A Trip to Disney World!"
