Preschool Easter PARTY

Kelly had her preschool Easter party this afternoon!!! The kids played 5 different games, read Easter stories, had a decorated sugar cookie snack, and got lots of fun treats! Preschool parties are soooooo much fun!

EASTER BUNNY

We went to see the EASTER BUNNY today at Hartig Drug in Dyersville. BOTH GIRLS loved the Easter Bunny......the first time Molly has sat on the lap of the Easter Bunny OR Santa without ScReAMinG!!! They gave you a free picture and we were able to buy a few more really cheap! Definately WAY BETTER than the mall! Here are the pictures.....they even put a cute border around it!

Another BUSY week!

It has been another busy week for all of us!!!! It started off with myself subbing at Kelly's school again! (I love it!) It was even a lot better because I was in the other preschool class....which made it easier not having Kelly with me all day. I still saw her at lunch, recess, and the special spring "show" that the high school kids came to Xavier to put on! The week also consisted of Kelly having swim lessons on Monday and Wednesday and tap and tumble gymnastics on Tuesday, Molly having her library story time on Wednesday, and me babysitting two kids all day on Thursday. We went to Dubuque on Friday and Papa Michael took Kelly to the movie "HOP" and both girls helped Grandma Peggy put out her snow bunnies too! It's been a fun, yet busy week! Only one more week until EASTER!!!

Molly (2), Grant (just turned 5), Kelly (almost 5), and Carly (16 months)
** I watched Grant and Carly all day on Thursday for our friends Tom & Lynn
Papa Michael & Kelly enjoyed the movie HOP on Friday afternoon.

PuZzLeS

Kelly was all about puzzles this weekend! She put together all 16 of our puzzles over the weekend.......we help her with the outside (a little bit), and she does the rest! She is really good at them! They were 24, 63, and 100 piece puzzles.....some harder than others. She started Friday night, did a few more Saturday morning before we headed outside for the day, did a few more this morning, and finished while Molly was taking her nap this afternoon. Way to go Kelly!

16 puzzles....and only a total of two pieces missing!

Future baseball players???

Everyone knows I am a BIG CUBS FAN! I have been for a long time.....as my Grandpa Piersch passed om his love of the Cubbies to me!!!! I had a Cubs birthday cake for my 13th birthday, Ryne Sandberg posters in my room when I was a teenager, etc. I always wanted to be an Olympic swimmer or the first woman major league baseball player for the Cubs! (Yes, I know....I didn't quite reach either of those goals!) Anyway, my love of baseball is getting passed on to my girls. Kelly knows almost all the words to the GO CUBS GO song....and Molly is starting to catch on too! Today we got our t-ball set out for the girls. (It is really their easter present from us.....but I couldn't wait.....as today was a beautiful day outside!) Both girls LOVED it....and did really well too!!!!

GO CUBS GO!!!!!
Let's have a great season!

Papa & Molly

Miss Molly LOVES all her Papa's.......and all her Papa's LOVE HER TOO! Today Papa Michael watched Molly while I ran some errands in Dubuque (Kelly was at school). I got a lot accomplished....and Miss Molly didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up either! (She hid under the bed when I got there because she didn't want to go home!!!!)

Thanks Papa Michael for a FUN DAY!

Birthday Celebration at BACKBONE

We took advantage of the beautiful weather today - 60 and sunny - and celebrated Grandma Pat's birthday at Backbone State Park today! The weather was gorgeous and would have been a perfect spring day if it wasn't for the wind. Uncle Dave met us there for Grandma's birthday celebration too! The girls had a great time playing on the swing set, playing games, and digging in the dirt. We had a picnic lunch and birthday cupcakes....and ended the beautiful day with a little hike on the Backbone trail. It was a wonderful day! Happy Birthday Grandma Pat!

Molly LOVED the swings.....maybe love doesn't quite express how much she enjoys swinging. She spent so much time in this swing....we took turns pushing her....and she would just sit there and wait to be pushed again. SHE LOVES, LOVES, LOVES SWINGING!!!
Both girls had fun digging in the dirt with spoons.
Kelly had EVERYONE playing with her. Here she is looking for easter eggs (that were empty) that she got Grandma Pat to hide for her. Kelly packed her own bag (and easter bucket) and had empty plastic easter eggs in it because she wanted to do an easter egg hunt at the park. She didn't care that there was nothing in them....she just wanted to find eggs!

Kelly said her favorite part of the day was hiking on the trail!
