Birthday Celebration at BACKBONE

We took advantage of the beautiful weather today - 60 and sunny - and celebrated Grandma Pat's birthday at Backbone State Park today! The weather was gorgeous and would have been a perfect spring day if it wasn't for the wind. Uncle Dave met us there for Grandma's birthday celebration too! The girls had a great time playing on the swing set, playing games, and digging in the dirt. We had a picnic lunch and birthday cupcakes....and ended the beautiful day with a little hike on the Backbone trail. It was a wonderful day! Happy Birthday Grandma Pat!

Molly LOVED the swings.....maybe love doesn't quite express how much she enjoys swinging. She spent so much time in this swing....we took turns pushing her....and she would just sit there and wait to be pushed again. SHE LOVES, LOVES, LOVES SWINGING!!!
Both girls had fun digging in the dirt with spoons.
Kelly had EVERYONE playing with her. Here she is looking for easter eggs (that were empty) that she got Grandma Pat to hide for her. Kelly packed her own bag (and easter bucket) and had empty plastic easter eggs in it because she wanted to do an easter egg hunt at the park. She didn't care that there was nothing in them....she just wanted to find eggs!

Kelly said her favorite part of the day was hiking on the trail!
