Hanging Out with Grandpa

Kelly and I have been going to Dubuque to spend the day with my dad since he has gotten home from his open heart surgery. We try to help him out as much as we can with his recovery. Today was a snow day (AGAIN...2 days in a row) for the Dubuque schools so Brice came to Grandma and Grandpa's house too. Here is a picture with "Papa" holding two of his grandkids. (Kelly's cheeks are so red! This winter weather is drying her skin out really bad. I put lotion on her cheeks a million times a day!) My dad is recoverng pretty well. He still had his good times (after he gets pain pills) and the restless, non-sleeping, painful times too. One of the hardest things for him is when Kelly, or one of the other kids, put their arms out to Papa for him to pick them up.....and he can't.....so one of us is always there to sit the kids up on his lap. Here is Grandpa with Kelly and Brice (2 and a half)...my sister Lori's son.
