New Team Babies!!!

Since the completion of the last WCHS swimming and diving season, Natalie (my assistant coach), and I have both had baby girls.......two new TEAM BABIES!!! After Molly's doctors appointment this morning, Molly and I went to Natalie's house to meet Willa May Berning, born May 27. (Kelly was at the babysitters house). Molly was really happy....even though she had just gotten her shots. Willa was awake almost the entire time we were there too!!! This was the first, of hopefully many, playdates for the two girls!

Willa (2 weeks old), and Molly (6 months old)
Molly was tired after shots at the doctor and a playdate too!
Here's how everything looked at her 6 month checkup:
Height - 27 1/2 inches - 98%
Weight - 19 lbs. 2 oz. - 95%
Head - 43cm - 60%
(Kelly was 19.6 lbs., 26 3/8 inches, and 42cm head at 6 months)

Build a Bear

Yesterday was a fun day for Kelly! We went to Davenport to go to Build a Bear. This was her reward for being potty trained! We have talked about it for over 6 months!!! A lot of my friends kids have animals from Build a Bear.....so Kelly kind of knew what it was all about. She had a lot of fun....but was VERY OVERWHELMED with everything. What a fun experience for an almost 3 year old! She has had 6 days now without an accident!!!! Miracles do happen!!! :)

Kelly walking into the Build a Bear store.
Kelly went DIRECTLY to the Hello Kitty stuffed animal. I thought she would get a BEAR, since that is what we talked about......but it was her day and she REALLY wanted Hello Kitty.
Kelly picked a heart for her animal.....here she is rubbing it before it got put inside.....then she kissed it too!
Kelly stuffing her Hello Kitty!!!
Kelly giving her Hello Kitty a bath!
Kelly looking through all the accessories. She wanted all the accessories for her animal (shoes, chairs, cell phone, goggles, sunglasses, hair pretties, etc.) over the clothes!

It's been a LONG process..........but.......

I'm a BIG GIRL NOW!!!
So, as ALL of you know.....potty training has been a LONG and EXTREMELY HARD process for me!!! Well, I think Kelly now has the hang of it! She has had 4 days now with ZERO accidents - YEAH! I'm not saying that she isn't going to have any more accidents, but she is doing great!!!! (...and I didn't know if I was ever going to be able to say that!)

I started Memorial Day weekend. We had Big Girl and Mommy day the Saturday of that weekend....on the Sunday, we said bye-bye to diapers. (except for bedtime). She started in underwear on Sunday and I didn't give up....but this is how it brokedown......

Day 1 - 5/24 - 5 accidents
Day 2 - 5/25 - 4 accidents
Day 3 - 5/26 - 4 accidents
Day 4 - 5/27 - 5 accidents
Day 5 - 5/28 - 5 accidents
Day 6 - 5/29 - 2 accidents
Day 7 - 5/30 - 1 accident (She was with Grandma Peggy & Papa Michael for the day)
Day 8 - 5/31 - ZERO!!!!!
Day 9 - 6/1 - ZERO!!!!!!
Day 10 - 6/2 - 1 accident
Day 11 - 6/3 - 1 accident
Day 12 - 6/4 - ZERO!!!!!
Day 13 - 6/5 - ZERO!!!!! (I know the day isn't over yet....but I have faith!)

Tomorrow we are going to Build a Bear.....as that is Kelly's reward for FINALLY figuring out the potty process!!!

Here is Kelly TWIRLING with her dress on......now SHE wants to pick out what she wears in the morning!!!

Molly - 6 months!!!!

Happy HALF Birthday, Molly Ann!!!
Molly is 6 months old today!

Playdate with Claire

Yesterday, Kelly had a playdate at our house with her friend Claire, one of her two best friends from the babysitters house. It was a cold, rainy day....so we had to spend it inside. They played great together and had a wonderful time!

Claire and Kelly painting together.
Kelly LOVES painting!
Claire does too!!!
Kelly and Claire made lots of stuff in the kitchen!!! Kelly is holding a cake and Claire is holding cupcakes! (You can see one of our FUN BLUE WALLS in the background! We have moved into our new addition. Everything is pretty much done except the floor and trim, with the frist phase.....hence the blanket on the floor!)

Molly got lots of attention from Claire too!!!
Molly giggled a lot at her entertainment for the morning!!!

My bathtime helper!

While giving Molly a bath....I always seem to have a BIG helper! Molly is in that "in between" stage. She is really getting TOO BIG for the baby bathtub, but she can't sit up on her own yet, so I can't really put her in the tub yet either. Here she is in our tub....but sitting in her baby bathtub....with my big helper in the tub too, scrubbing Molly's hair!

Molly isn't quite sure what to think of bathtime with her big sister.....I can't wait until she can sit up on her own and take a FUN BATH, like a big girl, WITH her big sister!!!

NEW DOORS

Here is a picture of the front of our house....with two new doors!!!! Brian and my Dad did a great job putting in the doors in and patching the siding....it looks like they were always there!!! We have a total of 5 new doors.....these two, our back door, garage to house entry door, and basement door!
