Kelly got a live butterfly garden as part of the cousin Christmas gift exchange this year. We were waiting to "order" our butterflies until summer....so she could let them go outside....instead of watching them die. She got 10 caterpillars in the mail a couple weeks ago. Kelly has enjoyed watching the butterfly process....from caterpillars to making the
cacoons, and then hatching into butterflies! Yesterday morning around 8am the first butterfly came out.....we checked about 15 minutes later and we had three butterflies!!! We had 9 out of 10 butterflies before lunch. Kelly is now enjoying picking flowers and spraying them with sugar water to feed her butterflies. She even put some watermelon in their "garden" today as it says the butterflies like watermelon and oranges. We will enjoy watching and feeding the butterflies this week. We are planning to let them go on Friday morning before we leave on our family vacation!

Molly came running over once she saw I was taking pictures of her sister (a little jealousy in our house!) She stopped drinking her nighttime bottle, pulled a chair over by her sister, and climbed up on the table to get her picture taken with her sister and the butterflies!
