Saints Game

Our family (and Kelly's friend, Cambrie) enjoyed a Dubuque Fighting Saints Hockey game tonight. The girls love to dance to the music that is played throughout the game. We arrived about an hour early.....so they could enjoy the music and atmosphere longer! Kelly and Cambrie had a great time....and loved every minute. Molly enjoyed the beginning and the first period....but a couple minutes into the second period, she kept asking if the game was over yet. She stayed awake the entire game (which is improvement from last year) and enjoyed the dancing and music as well.

1950's Day!!!

Today was 1950's day at Xavier! This week is Catholic Schools Week....and each day the kids have a little something special that is planned for them!!! So....today was 1950's dress up day! Kelly LOVED it....of course! Anytime she can be out of uniform....she is ALL FOR IT!!!

Preschool BEACH day!!!

This winter has been AWFUL.....snow, cold, windy, blowing snow, drifting snow, negative temperatures, etc. Every year in January....the preschool classes at Xavier have a beach day! Molly was really looking forward to beach day this year....since she had a beach day last year in 3 year old preschool, she knew what to expect!

Kelly's CF Swim Meet

Kelly attended her first out of town swim meet today! Her previous 3 meets (starting last July) have all been hosted by DASH and in Dubuque. This was a 12 and under dual meet with Cedar Falls. There were no awards at this meet....and male and female swimmers swam together. It was a great first out of town meet for Kelly. She was a little nervous about the blocks....as they were different than she is used to. Therefore, she dove off the side for her first event...the 25 fly. This was the first time she swam fly in a meet...so I think her nerves were extra high between swimming fly for the first time and the different blocks. She used the blocks for her breaststroke and freestyle races.

Brian's birthday

We celebrated Brian's birthday with dinner at Texas Roadhouse. The girls LOVED that Daddy "got on the saddle" and said "bang, bang it's my birthday!" Later that evening, we celebrated with cake and ice cream.
