Girl Scout CAMPOREE

Kelly had her first OUTSIDE tent camping experience at Camp Little Cloud this weekend!  She got a little scared at night....but truly enjoyed it!  She slept in a tent with Lexi (our neighbor) who is in the 1st grade girl scout troop.  There was another first grader with them....but she went home in the middle of the night.  Kelly and Lexi didn't even know she left until the next morning!  Once the fell asleep....they were sound asleep!

 6am POLAR PLUNGE!

I opened the pool for anyone who wanted to jump in and swim for 30 minutes for the polar plunge.  Kyia was the only 2nd grader who wanted too......although A LOT of them (including Kelly) wished they would have done it.  Maybe next year!

 The 1st and 2nd graders in Sunshine that decided to sleep over AND made it through the night.  Some girls only came for the day on Friday.  We had 9 girls sleep over! (Seven 2nd graders and two first graders)

Hy-Vee Ironkids TRIATHLON

Kelly completed her FIRST triathlon today!  She competed in the 7 year old girl age division.  She swam 50 yards, biked 2 miles, and ran 500 yards.  The swimming was her easiest and running was definitely her hardest.  She placed 13th out of 20 girls in her division.  We are VERY PROUD of her!!!!  She definitely earned her medal!!!

DASH Awards Night

Kelly received her first two ribbons and a trophy for competitive swimming at the DASH awards night tonight....and she is VERY EXCITED about it!  We are very proud of her!

Vacation at Jellystone!

We enjoyed our 5 days at Jellystone Park in Austin, MN.....the weather was a little cold the last couple days....but the kids still had a great time!  We love going to the Jellystone in Bagley, WI....so it was fun to see a bigger Jellystone with a lot more things to do!  We camped with the Mulgrew family....and then Grandma and Papa Murray came up the last couple days too.
