Camping at Jellystone!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend camping at Jellystone Park in Bagley, WI with the Salow family.  The weather was PERFECT...not too hot, not too cold....just right!  The girls had a blast!  We love camping at Jellystone because we never hear "I'm bored!"  Between jumping things, swimming, crafts, seeing the bears, pedal carts, mini golf, riding bikes, going to the ranger station, more activities, smores, and evening cartoons at dark......the kids just LOVE IT!!!!  This was our first camping weekend there with friends....and it was so much fun!  It was "wake up the bears weekend"...as we had to make a lot of noise to wake the bears up from hibernation!  The girls thought was was so cool!  We walked up to the cabin where the bears were "sleeping" for the winter!  Too fun!  Kelly and Molly have already asked if we can go to the wake up the bears weekend next year too.  This year was perfect.....the Friday ended up being a teacher in-service day....so we left in the morning and were set up by lunch time!  It was the best camping trip so far for our family!!!
While we were setting up the campers and getting ready for lunch....the girls were blowing bubbles for Natalie!
Natalie stuck right by Kelly....it was adorable!
 Kelly's big bubble!
Molly was proud to catch a bubble on her wand
They moved to blowing bubbles in a big container with straws....
They added this inflatable slide this year....next to the jumping pillow.  It was a BIG HIT with the kids!

Craig & Logan picked the girls up in the pedal cart for a ride around the park.....
....then the girls went by themselves!
Kelly roasting marshmallows for Smores!
Logan & Kelly played A LOT of mini-golf!!!!
This was right after Kelly got a HOLE IN ONE!!!  She was jumping up and down!!!!
Kelly is a pretty good mini-golf player!
Waking up the Bears on Saturday morning!!!!  Yogi and Boo-Boo came out of this cabin we walked to up a little further in the woods.

Wagon ride with BOTH Yogi & Boo-Boo.  We were on the first wagon ride and the only one with both Bears.  The girls thought that was really neat!

Yogi SAT on Kelly's lap.....look at the smiles/giggles from Lexi & Molly!
***I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!***
Molly in the pool.....it didn't last too long as the pool was just filled two days before we came....and it was cold!
Kelly lasted the longest....but only about an hour!
So they decided to spray the deck with water squirters instead!!!

This is also one of my favorite pictures of the weekend......when Cindy Bear came out!!!!  These 3 girls are SO EXCITED!  We went to Jellystone once last year, but Cindy Bear wasn't there.  Molly was especially excited!!!!
Molly was the FIRST ONE to give her a hug!!!!
 Kelly hugging Cindy Bear!
 Craft time with Cindy Bear!
 The girls with Cindy Bear!

 Silly girls!
This was the first time the 3 girls sang there song to Yogi.....the Yogi Bear song they learned in Girl Scouts this year!
 Quick picture on the slide!

Ranger Smith was there this weekend too!!!!
 Sisters!!!!
 All 5 kids!
Right before we left, they sang the song one more time for Yogi and Cindy together......they HUGGED each other during part of the song....the kids LOVED IT!!!!
 The end of the song!
One last game of mini-golf before heading home.  It was a wonderful camping experience, with lots of memories at Jellystone!!!

Bridging Ceremony

Kelly bridged from a Daisy Girl Scout to a Brownie Girl Scout!!!  She spent 2 years as a Daisy Girl Scout and FILLED up her tunic with patches!  She really enjoys girl scouts and especially loves earning patches (for Grandma Peggy to sew on) and selling cookies (to get fun prizes!)
 Our amazing bridging cake!!!
(Shelly Rollins - who makes all my kids birthday cakes - made this cake for our troop!)
These 6 girls (4 are leaders kids) were helping us set up...and were there when the cake was delivered.  They were SO EXCITED!  What a fun cake for a great group of 1st graders!
Kelly's arm span doesn't even go as long as the cake!
 Kelly on the bridge!
After the bridging ceremony, the new Brownies sang the Daisy song for the last time.  They will learn a new friendship song in Brownies!
 The 15 newest Dyersville Brownies!

 Congrats Kelly!
Grandma Peggy & Papa Michael came to watch you....
...and so did Grandma Pat & Papa Tom!
Congrats Kelly!!!!

Mother's Day

My brother Brian surprised my Mom and came home for Mother's Day!  It was the first year in a long, long time that my Mom spent Mother's Day with both her kids.  We had a nice meal at Texas Roadhouse!
Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Xavier Xcursion

Our school had the 3rd annual Xavier Xcursion Healthy Fitness Day.  The students all received a t-shirt and spent 1.5 hours outside exercising.  They had 4 stations....
**Running/Walking
**Obstacle Course
**Kick-Boxing
**Healthy Snack
It turned out to be a beautiful day!  Kelly ended up being in the same group as Josie (the 4th grader I work with)....so I was able to see her and snap a couple pictures with my phone.
Since it was Wednesday (and Molly only goes to school Tuesdays/Thursdays) they did a modified version for the preschool students on Thursday at school.

Girl Scout Green & White Celebration

We had our annual Dyersville Green & White Celebration to celebrate another great year of girl scouts.  Each troop had to pick a country & put on a short skit.  Our troop picked Greece - and our theme was centered around the first Olympic Games.  We split the girls up into swimmers, runners, and gymnasts.  They all made torches and paraded out to the Olympic song.  Each girl then participated in there individual sport where they all received a medal.  The girls had a great time putting together our skit.

Kelly asked Grandma Peggy to come.....since she has sewn on every patch for the last 2 years!  (Thank goodness for Grandma....as Mom doesn't sew!)
The front of Kelly's tunic - 26 patches!
The back - 37 patches

After 2 years of girl scouts.....Grandma sewed on 63 patches that Kelly earned!!!
(Kelly earned 2 more patches...but since her tunic was full, she is saving them for her Brownie Sash).
