Playdate with REESE

On Tuesday, Kelly had a playdate with her friend Reese at our house. She was one of the five friends Kelly picked to come to her friend birthday party. Unfortunately, Reese was going to be out of town for the weekend....so she can't come to her friend party. I gave Kelly the option of inviting another friend, but she decided she didn't want to. (We had already done favor bags....and Kelly wanted Reese to have all the fun "stuff"!)

**Sidenote......below is what Reese's Mom e-mailed me....

I feel terrible that Reese cannot make Kelly's birthday party. If it makes Kelly feel any better, Reese was willing to forego Adventureland and staying w/ her cousins all week to be able to make Kelly's party. To quote, "Mom, I KNOW Kelly's mom will just let me stay at her house all week until you guys get back. PLEASE! It's not fair. I want to go to Kelly's birthday party!"

Anyway, the two girls had a great day together. Kelly gave Reese all her party favors and the craft we are going to do tomorrow too. We will miss Reese....but they had a fun day on Tuesday!

America's River Festival

We went to America's River Festival in Dubuque with the Mulgrew family on Sunday....since they were in town for Kelly's birthday party. The kids had a great time! (...and we only spent $4.00 for two hours of entertainment and fun!) We watched the Dock Dogs, met Scooby Doo, saw Lightening McQueen, and ate free cupcakes! The kids were able to go in a few bounce houses/slides and they got some crafts, stickers, stencils, and balloons too! It was a fun afternoon!

Molly went right up to Scooby Doo and gave him a BIG HUG!

(Then she ran right back to me....and said "Mommy....Scooby BIG!!!!!!!!)

After she got over the fact that Scooby was BIG....she went back up to him and showed him her Scooby Doo stuffed animal. Scooby petted Molly's stuffed animal Scooby! Molly thought that was cute!

The best picture I got with trying to get her to look at the camera. I think she was a little overwhelmed that Scooby was very large!

Kelly's 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Kelly's 5th birthday on Saturday! She had a DISNEY PRINCESS party! After her T-Ball game we came home...and Kelly got into "princess mode!" It was a nice party....just a little bit on the chilly side for the middle of June! The kids still wanted the pool out....so we filled it up a little after 3pm when it started to warm up a little bit! We filled it with water from the solar tank....so at least the water wasn't FREEZING! It was a fun day for Miss Kelly...and she still has her "FRIEND" birthday party on Friday too!
