You gotta love a fun-filled family afternoon!!!
What makes it even better.....we only spent $10 for 5 hours of entertainment!!!
Brian and I took the girls to the fair today. We had been debating all week whether we should go. We didn't want to spend a lot of money...but we knew the girls would love it! When we got free admission tickets for the last day of the fair....we decided to go! We went early (9:30am) and got a great parking spot and the girls were able to see a lot of animals with little crowds!
The girls enjoyed seeing all the animals.....especially the rabbits!
Up next....a kids scavenger hunt at 10am in the big tent. Kelly LOVED the scavenger hunt....Molly didn't really finish. Molly received a participation ribbon and Kelly WON her age group. She finished the scavenger hunt of 15 items in 14 minutes!!!! (They gave you 45 minutes to complete). Kelly was lucky because one of the ladies she asked for an item wanted to help her out....and she helped her find 7 items on her list!!! Kelly won a $10 gift card to Jumpin Janes!!!
After the scavenger hunt the girls got air-brushed tattoos! We received the early bird special and only paid $2.50 each since the girls BOTH wanted GLITTER!
($5.00 of our total spent for the day!)
Kelly - a princess
Molly - a unicorn
Right next to the tattoo place was Matt's Family Jam music session. We joined it late when there was only about 10 minutes left for them to perform. Both girls loved playing instruments and hula-hooping with the family. Kelly was SAD when they were finished. There next performance was at 1:30pm and we didn't think we would still be at the fair at that time.
(Little did we know the girls were great and we finished our family fun-filled afternoon with a full jam session!)
Kelly showing off her hula-hooping skills!
Molly playing the maracas.
Then we were off to the tiger show.....this was Kelly's favorite tiger!
A tiger jumping through a hoop!
This tiger was walking on a tight rope.....this picture doesn't show how amazing that was.
The girls were able to pick TWO rides to go on! (The other $5.00 we spent)
This elephant ride was their FAVORITE!!!
Molly especially loved when it when high in the sky!
All SMILES after riding on the elephant!
Second ride....cruising in the purple car!
There were LOTS of buttons to play with in the car! :)
The next activity in the big tent at noon....making a sand art key chain!
The girls showing off their sand key chain creations.
(Kelly was VERY PROUD of her RIBBON she won for the scavenger hunt!!!)
...if you haven't noticed that it is in ALL the pictures!!!
(Yes, Molly is NOT wearing her glasses.....she switched from glasses to sunglasses all day and this was the in-between time while Brian went to get her glasses from the stroller.)
Daddy watching his favorite part of the day....the demo derby. Kelly wasn't quite sure about the loud cars!!!
She ended up covering her ears the rest of the time.....while holding her ribbon!
We ran into Tami and the girls after we ate lunch and Kelly invited them to the Matt's Family Jam Session while Daddy went back to watch more of the demo derby.
Kelly, Molly, & Racquel playing instruments while Helena plays the drums in the back.
Molly & Racquel rocking the drums!
Hula-Hoop time!
Thanks to Matt's Family Jam for a fun-filled time for the kids!!!
