A PERFECT day at the LIBRARY!

Kelly and I went to our weekly library program this morning. IT WAS A PERFECT DAY!!! I don't know if it was because the topic was FOOD....and Kelly likes her food, or if I was wrong and it only took Kelly 4 weeks to become the perfect little angel who listens at our weekly program. She sat and listened, took turns, and was the only kid who did the sign language for "eat" when the teacher asked her to!!! The craft today was making a necklace....out of cheerios and fruit loops! It was a hit with Kelly!

Here she is when we got home, wearing her necklace!
It didn't take her long to starting eating it!!!

We spent the weekend up in St. Francis, MN for Daniel's dedication service. It was a busy weekend, but everyone had fun. Benjmain and Kelly ESPECIALLY had fun swimming Saturday night. They both love the water......which makes me VERY HAPPY! :)

The Library Program is FUN!

I signed Kelly up for a program at our Dyersville Library called Wee Read....it's for kids 3 years old and under. Today was our third week.
*Week #1 didn't start off so well.....a major temper tantrum!
*Week #2 was better.....only one meltdown at the beginning of the class.
*Today was even better yet.....not perfect, but much improved! Kelly just needs to work on taking turns! She wanted to do everything and didn't want to give the other kids their turn. She sat down really well and didn't cry at all......this is a 10 week program, so I'm sure she will be perfect by the last week!!! :)

Today the theme was HATS....after story time, and singing time, we have art time. They made hats today and Kelly didn't want to take hers off. She wore it all the way home and for about 20 minutes after we got home. Here she is dancing while wearing her hat!!!

The first week the theme was pets, and the second week the theme was sea animals. This is a fun, extremely organized program that's free at our library! :)

Swim Team visits Team Baby #2

Some of my swim team got together today to visit Tatiana and her new baby. I think I told most of you that I had a pregnant swimmer on my team this past season. Lucas is adorable! Kelly was REALLY GOOD for the first 45 minutes that we were visiting. She would try to give him his bottle, a book, etc. When it was mommy's turn to hold Lucas......things went downhill FAST! Kelly threw a terrible temper tantrum and got REALLY jealous. Once Mommy gave the baby to another swimmer, things were all good again!

Hi everyone...my friend Tracy found this heritage look-alike meter so I thought I would try it out! Like everyone has always said....Kelly looks more like Daddy!!!! (BY 10%!!!)

Feed my piggy, please!!!

Lately, Kelly has wanted to feed her piggy bank every morning. When Daddy gets ready for work, he puts change in his pocket. One morning, we decided to let Kelly put the money in her piggy bank. When she puts the money in her bank, it sings a fun song and she really likes that. We thought this would be something that she would do on the weekdays.....but we were wrong. She still wanted to feed her pig yesterday and today! She constantly asks for MORE.....she is taking all our money!!! It isn't just a morning thing anymore...her pig is hungry ALL DAY!!! Watch out if you come to our house.....Kelly might ask you to feed her piggy!!!
My piggy is HUNGRY in the mornings!
Playing with her pennies...we put them in her heart from Valentine's Day, so that she didn't think only M&M's and candy went in the heart!

A tragic day!!!

I don't know how many of you have had kids be EXTREMELY attached to something!!! Well, Kelly is that way with her blanket. I have washed it before, but always found a way to sneak it into the washer without Kelly realizing it. It was very dirty....and even got run over with the stroller yesterday! It needed to be washed. Kelly followed me to the laundry room this time and once she realized her blanket was in the SCARY washing machine, it was MELTDOWN CITY! I have never heard such a SAD cry in my life. Needless to say, Kelly and I spent almost a couple hours hanging out in the laundry room too. She wouldn't leave her blanket!!!!
Pointing to her blanket in the washer!!! (If you notice, her M&M's are in her hand again...they are the only thing that would stop her from crying....but they didn't last the entire time her blanket was being washed and dryed).
Waving bye-bye to her blanket....it was very tragic when we shut the top of the washer!
During the drying cycle....I think we opened the dryer about 10 times....just to check to make sure the blanket was ok! Kelly is touching the blanet here, and it's still really wet!
All clean!!! Pulling the blanket out to safety!!!
"Yeah....I have my blanket back....I'm not letting this go!!!"
Life is good again! Kelly is laying in the living room watching Elmo!!! It was very tiring watching her blanket get washed and dryed!!! (With lots of SAD crying in between)

Grandma Peggy came to visit!

Grandma Peggy came to Dyersville to visit Mommy and Kelly yesterday for Valentine's Day. We went out to lunch and spent the day together. We had a fun day!
Kelly peeking into the Valentine's Day bag from Grandma!
Kelly wondering what was inside this heart....then we opened it (and there were M&M's inside)......and it didn't leave her hands.
Grandma reading Kelly the "Elmo's Fuzzy Valentine" book that she gave her.
"Thanks Grandma!" (Kelly is STILL holding the heart filled with M&M's!!!)
Grandma gave Kelly a Little People camping set....it played music and Kelly new right where to push it to make it work! (She was showing Grandma here)

Kids Night at Perkins

Grandma and Grandpa Snyder took us all out to eat at Perkins tonight for Valentine's Day. Tuesday night is Kids Night. We didn't realize that they give all the kids a free cookie (and a free kids meal) and they have frosting set up at a big table for the kids to decorate there cookies! After Kelly ate her dinner, she thought it was so fun to frost her own special cookie. She loved the frosting!!!!
Getting started...."this frosting looks fun!"
Taking time out to "SAMPLE" the frosting with her finger!
Smiling at Daddy and Grandma....they came over to see how she was doing with frosting her cookie.
Back at our table.....Kelly was Soooooooo excited to EAT her cookie!

Playing the Piano!

Kelly discovered my piano today! She played it really well too! We worked on being gentle and only using one finger at a time!!! :)

If you have noticed lately, a lot of Kelly's pictures are in her PJ's!!! When Kelly and I stay home for the day.....it's PJ days for Kelly! She has SOOO many pairs of adorable pajamas that are comfy! I just change her from one pair to the next!!!!

It was another snow day for Dubuque Community Schools today! Grandma and Grandpa Mulgrew were babysitting Isabella and Brice for the day. They decided to come out to Dyersville with the kids to play in the snow with Kelly. Everyone had fun! (I even got in the snow this time!) :) AND....Kelly got to play in the snow 2 days in a row!!!
