Coloring Contest

Kelly won a coloring contest for her age group at our local grocery store.  After school today we went to pick up her prize!  A box fun of goodies!  Here she is with her prize and winning coloring sheet!

Spring Swim Lessons

The girls BOTH started spring swim lessons today.  It is Molly's first time taking swim lessons and I had no idea what to expect!!!  I knew Kelly would love every second in the water....but didn't know how Molly would react.  She didn't cry, stayed in the water the entire lesson (with the exception of a bathroom break), smiled a lot, and said she had FUN!!!  What a successful first lesson!!!!

Molly is in the SPLASH group....the little beginning kids group.  Kelly was never in this group so she never wore a belt for swim lessons.  I was so proud of Molly!  She has grown up so much since turning THREE!!

Annabelle's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Annabelle's 3rd birthday today with a little party at Jumpin Janes!  Annabelle is one of the six, 3 year olds that have been in our weekly library program together.....and she was the last one to turn THREE.  The kids ALL had a great time...and so did the Moms!

Kelly's Sleepover with Maria

Kelly had a wonderful FIRST FRIEND SLEEP OVER at our house.  Kelly and Maria got along great!  They played from 11am on Friday to 1pm on Saturday....no fighting or bickering at all.  It was a perfect first sleep over with a friend...I hope in the future they are all this smooth!!!  We read a couple books at 8pm and I let them play the leapsters in bed and talk afterwords.  They were both sound asleep by 8:30pm and we didn't hear a peep until 6:15am.  We woke up to the sound of the two girls playing the leapsters again in bed. :)  They didn't come out of Kelly's room until 6:45am.  (That is better than a normal day for Miss Kelly!!!)

Kelly is having her first FRIEND sleepover tonight!  She has had a couple cousins (Helena & Ember) sleepover before, and she had a sleepover at our neighbor Lexi's house, but never a friend from school.  She has been asking me for a couple months to have a friend sleep overnight.  I told her that when she was "Angel of the Week" in her Kindergarten class, she could have a friend over.  Well....she is Angel of the week this coming week.  It just so happened that school was cancelled today due to snow, so Maria came over around 11am.  The girls had a great time playing today...and they were both asleep by 8:30pm tonight too!  What a great first friend sleepover!!!

Molly's Library Valentine's Day Party

 Molly had her Valentine's Day party with her library group friends this morning.  It's always fun when we get together!  Molly had a great time....but doesn't like taking group pictures!  She would rather just play one on one with a few of the kids at a time.....and she prefers playing with Alaina whenever she gets the chance!  The  kids exchanged Valentine's, decorated AND ate heart shaped sugar cookies, painted a small craft, and had fun playing together.  It was a  fun 2.5 hours this morning for the kids AND the Moms too!

(We have two kids with severe allergies in our group so it was just plain white frosting with no sprinkles as we have a peanut allergy and a food dye allergy too!)

Feathers....

Kelly was SO excited to get FEATHERS in her hair!  When Brian got home from work, Kelly and I went to the beauty shop to get her Valentine's Day present from Grandma Peggy & Papa Michael.  Kelly received money to get feathers in her hair!

She is so excited to go to school tomorrow to show off her Valentine's Day present!!!
