Catholic Schools Week - Day 2 - 100th day of school

Today was the 100th Day of Kindergarten for Miss Kelly!  It was supposed to be last week, but with the three snow days...it got moved back....so it ended up being during Catholic Schools Week.  Kelly was excited about being 100 days smarter!

Her paper from her teacher says....

"You are 100 days smarter.....that makes you a SMARTIE!"

Catholic Schools Week - Day 1 - BOWLING

This is Catholic Schools Week....Kelly is excited for all the fun activities that are planned this week.

She was chosen to take up the gifts at church this weekend to kick off a fun Catholic Schools Week.  Today was a BOWLING field trip day!

Welcome Natalie Ann

We helped welcome the newest addition to the Salow Family - Natalie Ann!

Born - Thursday, January 26 at 3:37pm

7 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches long

I was able to visit Emily and Natalie in the hospital on Friday afternoon.  She is such a little peanut!  Kelly and Molly were so excited to meet our newest neighbor!  We went over Sunday morning and the girls each took Natalie a couple baby toys.  Kelly was VERY excited to hold her and didn't want to give her up.  Molly only held her for a minute...totally opposite of what I thought.

Two TIRED Girls

 My girls have enjoyed playing in the snow.....since winter decided to join us recently!

I'm glad they LOVE it so much....because snow and cold weather is NOT my favorite thing!  It makes it a little more bearable when they have a great day with the white fluffy stuff!

We pulled out the hide-away bed on the couch to watch a family movie.....Molly was asleep at 6:05pm and Kelly fell asleep at 6:45pm!

 Kelly has been REALLY excited for out of uniform day at school for over a week!  She wanted to wear her SUPPORT RYAN t-shirt to school....with a little bit of her PINK FLARE added to it!  She continues to amaze me about the thoughtful things she does for people.  She is a great friend!  She prays for Ryan EVERY DAY!

Kelly's HALF birthday

Kelly was able to celebrate her HALF birthday today - since it was the 17th!   Her half birthday was officially  December 17, but with the holiday craziness, we decided to wait until January 17.  Kelly was so excited to be able to celebrate with her Kindergarten class today!!!  

She picked ice cream sundaes with her favorite toppings for her birthday treats....with purple juice bags!  The kids LOVED it!!!

The girls had another FUN day in the snow....this time with our neighbors!!!  Craig took the kids sledding behind his 4-wheeler and the kids LOVED it!

It's WINTER...

We have had an amazingly MILD winter so far this year (which I LOVED while it lasted)!!!

We had a RECORD-HIGH temperature on Wednesday (52 degrees!) followed by Thursday with windy-blizzard like conditions!  Thursdays temp was 13 degrees with a nasty wind-chill that made it feel like -10 degrees!  What a change a day can make!!!  Kelly had her first Kindergarten school snow day on Thursday!

We had 1.5 hours of outdoor fun after school today....Kelly tried out her new pogo stick that she got for Christmas, the girls rode their bikes, and we played at the park too!

 Molly had her first visit to the dentist today!  She did great....has 20 teeth with NO CAVITIES!  She held on tight to Cinderella the entire visit....but did a great job!  She was VERY happy with a new toothbrush and THREE fun stickers she got to pick out!  (Belle, Dora, and Strawberry Shortcake!)  Stickers make everything more fun for my 3 year old!

Brian's birthday

It was Daddy's birthday today!  He was able to use a vacation day from 2011 to have his birthday off.....and it couldn't have been a more perfect day outside.  It was 55 degrees on January 5 - how amazing!  I could get used to winters like this!!! We had a relaxing morning at home, and were able to spend some time outside, take a walk, and Molly was able to ride her bike.  (Kelly was in school but she was able to enjoy the weather at recess too)
