a **FAMILY** afternoon

We spent the afternoon together as a family! :) Brian is always working on the house....but he took the afternoon off to hang out with his girls. (Don't worry...he worked on the house all morning!!!) We went to one of my swimmers graduation parties and then we spent the rest of the afternoon/evening at the aboretum. Kelly got to feed the fish and play at the playground. There was also a concert in the park that we listened to for awhile. It was a nice afternoon.....as a WHOLE family! :)

Fun at Grandma & Papa's

The girls and I spent the day in Dubuque, while Daddy and Papa Bear worked on the house. My swimmers had a car wash, and Kelly and Molly spent some time with Grandma Peggy and Papa Michael. Kelly played on the slip-n-slide......and played baseball with Papa Michael too! Molly spent most of the time charming Grandma and Papa inside!

Weekend in Kansas City!!!

We spent the weekend in Kansas City at my sister Staci's house. On Saturday we had two of my nephew's birthday parties (Logan turns 6 yrs. old on June 30 and Landon turned 2 yrs. old on June 15). On Sunday, we had my godson's baptism! It was a busy, yet wonderful weekend with my dad's side of the family!!!

On Friday and Saturday night we had girls bathtime and boys bathtime........Molly and Jessen didn't get in the baths.....but we still had 5 girls and 4 boys!!!

Jumpin' Janes

We spent the day (and yes, I mean the day) at Jumpin' Janes indoor play center for Kelly's 3rd birthday! We got there a little after 10:00am and left at 3:45pm with LOTS of tired kids!!! There were a totaly of 11 kids (all 8 years old and under!) My two sisters, Lori and Tami, and two of my friends, Jen and Tara, came with their kids to help celebrate Kelly's actual birthday!!! It was a lot of fun.....yet extremely tiring!!! Kelly took a short nap in the car (30 minutes) and then we picked Daddy up from work and went to Happy Joe's for Kelly's birthday dinner. It was a busy, yet a fun, day that Kelly will remember for a long time!

On Sunday, Molly got her first taste of food......other than breast milk mixed with cereal. Just like with Kelly, we tried carrots at six and a half months. Some of the faces that a baby makes are just priceless! Here are some funny pictures. Overall, she did pretty well for her first time with food. She has had carrots for three nights in a row......we will be starting a new food tomorrow! Oh, and did I mention that Molly started saying her first word this past week........

Kelly's 3rd Birthday Party

On Saturday, 6/13, we celebrated Kelly's 3rd birthday with a party at our house. Since we are in the middle of re-modeling, the majority of the party was outside. We had pools set up (although it was a little chilly), the swingset, sandbox, etc. for the kids to play. It was a Care Bears theme - Cheer Bear! It was a fun day for Kelly!!! She had a hard time waiting until 11:00am for people to arrive.....as she woke up at 6:30am and was ready for her PARTY!!!! Molly missed most of the party....since she napped for 3 hours!!!
