Kelly & Eli on the river

The Snyder family started the holiday weekend going out in the river yesterday afternoon! It was a beautiful day!!! My cousin Jenni, her husband Joe, and there son Eli were back for the weekend from St. Louis. They went out on the river with Nancy & Gary. We met up with them at the island. Kelly had fun playing with Eli (1 1/2 yrs). Kelly has already turned into a "river rat", like I was as a little girl. She helped to show Eli "the ropes" and I think if he was around enough, he could turn into a river rat too! Here are a couple pictures of them playing together!

Wahlert Catholic Swim & Dive Team 2008

Here is our team picture that we took yesterday of my current Wahlert Swimming & Diving Team! (only one girl is missing....I have 26 girls this season).

Yes, I did get a new picture of Kelly in her EAGLES swimsuit too! That will be on the blog once I get them back. I only got this picture to identify all the names for the football/fall sports program.

COUSINS!!!

Here are a couple pictures of Kelly and her two cousins in Minnesota (my brother Brian and his wife Katie's kids). These were professional pictures taken up in St. Germain, WI on our family vacation in the middle of July. (We just got the pictures recently). They are pretty good....considering we had a 2 and a half year old (Benjamin), a 2 year old (Kelly), and a 9 month old (Daniel).

Last night Brian, Kelly, and I went to Fidelity Family Fun Night in Dyersville! They have this event once a year.....they have a free picnic dinner and then open the Dyersville pool for all Fidelity Bank customers for free too! We went to the event last year, but didn't go swimming because it was too cold. We went to the picnic dinner and the pool this year (although Mommy and Daddy thought the water was cold!!!) Kelly didn't complain though...and she was in and out of the water a million times jumping in and then climbing back out! She actually cried when we got out and left (after being there an hour and a half and it being almost her bedtime!) Kelly had a busy day.....with the swim team car wash, a short nap, and then family fun night! Here are a couple pictures Brian took when I was swimming with Kelly.

Swim Team CAR WASH

My swimming and diving team had a car wash fundraiser today! Kelly came with me from 9:00am until noon and helped out! She had so much fun!!! She loved washing the cars with the girls...and saying good-bye to everyone as they left! It was a beautiful day and we made a lot of money too - $678!!!

Yesterday, we went out on the river with the Herrig family. We all had fun.....but Kelly had A LOT OF FUN! She loves watching what Madison & Ana do....and copies them!!! The weather was perfect!!! It was a wonderful, and relaxing day on the river!!! (It's the first time we got our boat on the river this year...due to all the Iowa flooding!!!) Good thing we were able to use it all week on our family vacation!

Kelly and I went to the Dyersville pool today with my sister Tami and two of her kids (Peyton - 6 yrs. old and Helena - 2 yrs. old). Kelly had A LOT of fun!!! She swam for 2 and a half hours!!! She LOVED the waterslide and jumping off the side of the pool into the water. She went under water EVERY time and didn't mind it at all.....she is truly not afraid of the water at all!!! She is my little water rat!

Fincel's Corn

I picked up some Fincel's corn this morning in Dubuque. It's only the second time that we have had it this year!!! :( Kelly had fun (and was very serious at times)....while helping Daddy shuck corn! She was so funny that she realized it was corn under all the "stuff"!!! Kelly LOVES corn....but she REALLY LOVES corn on the cob! She ate two entire ears...all by herself....and then Daddy wasn't finished with his second ear yet, so she took some of his too!!!!

New family picture!

We got a new family picture taken today! I thought it would be nice to have one more family picture, before we welcome a new addition to our family in the beginning of December!

Daddy's INCHWORM!

Brian's parents saved his "inchworm" from when he was a little boy. They gave it to Kelly a couple months ago, but her legs weren't quite long enough to make it work. She has gotten the hang of it in the last few days. Now she can JUMP and make the inchworm go!!!
